Learn the hand rankings from strongest to weakest before you sit down at a table.
A few fundamental principles that can sharpen your game from day one.
Don't sit at high-stakes tables if your bankroll isn't solid enough. General rule: minimum bankroll of 20x the buy-in.
Losing a hand is not a reason to play recklessly. Step away for a moment if you feel emotions starting to cloud your judgement.
Poker isn't just about your cards — watch your opponents' betting patterns and tells to make sharper decisions.
Playing "in position" (acting after your opponent) gives you extra information and a significant tactical edge.
The best players know when to fold. Wait for strong hands and favourable spots before committing to a big pot.
Calculate the pot odds against the cost of a call to make mathematically sound decisions when facing large bets.

Poker has long been part of Malaysia's entertainment culture. From card tables at Kuala Lumpur kopitiams to game rooms in Penang, the game has always had a loyal following here. Now with cly888, players no longer need to track down a physical table — the full poker experience comes straight to your screen, with quality and fairness you can count on.
Cly888 built its poker platform with one core goal: to give Malaysian players a gaming experience that is genuinely fair, secure, and enjoyable. Whether you are just learning how to play Texas Hold'em or have spent years competing in Omaha at a high level, cly888 has the right table for you.
What sets cly888 apart from other platforms is its commitment to game integrity. All poker tables use an RNG (Random Number Generator) that has undergone independent auditing by a qualified third party. This means every card dealt is genuinely random — no manipulation, no unfair advantage for any player. Our anti-collusion system also actively monitors suspicious betting patterns to ensure all players compete individually, with no illegal coordination.
The cly888 poker community continues to grow, with over 12,000 active players every month from all across Malaysia — Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching. That means you'll never have to worry about empty tables — during peak hours, dozens of Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and Sit & Go tables run simultaneously across a wide range of stake levels.
For new players who are not yet familiar with poker rules, cly888 provides a free practice room (play money) where you can play without risking real money. It is the ideal way to learn the fundamentals, understand hand rankings, and get comfortable with the interface before moving on to real-money games.
On the payments front, cly888 understands what Malaysian players need. Deposits and withdrawals are supported via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX through Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. The minimum deposit starts from as low as RM10, making it easy for new players to get started. Withdrawals are typically processed in under 30 minutes, with VIP members enjoying even faster turnaround times.
The cly888 VIP Programme is also tailored specifically for poker players. Every time you play at a cash game table or paid tournament, a portion of the rake you contribute is credited back as rakeback points. These points can be redeemed for cash, free tournament tickets, or exciting rewards. The higher your VIP tier — from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, through to Diamond — the greater your rakeback rate, with Diamond members earning up to 30%.
Cly888's poker tournaments are also well worth taking seriously. Daily Freeroll Tournaments open to all registered members offer real cash prizes at zero entry cost — the ideal opportunity for new players to gain genuine tournament experience. The weekly Malaysia Masters MTT, with a guaranteed prize pool of RM30,000, draws competitive players from across the country. And for those who have reached VIP status, the monthly High Roller Invitational with a RM50,000 prize pool represents the pinnacle of poker action at cly888.
Beyond standard Texas Hold'em, cly888 also offers Omaha Hi-Lo for players who want deeper strategic complexity, as well as Teen Patti — a traditional Asian card game that is hugely popular among Malaysian players. This variety ensures you will never run out of options and there is always something new to explore.
The cly888 poker interface is designed for ease of use on mobile screens. Large action buttons, clear card displays, and easy-to-read pot information allow you to make quick decisions even on a small screen. Turn notifications are also sent through the app so you never miss any action, even when using other apps.
If you're serious about improving your poker game, cly888 also features a dedicated Betting Tips section packed with strategy guides, hand analyses, and tutorial videos. From core concepts like pot odds and table position to advanced techniques like 3-betting and range construction — everything you need to become a stronger player is right there.
